Hey Houston, It’s been awhile but we’re back! We spent the past couple months working on a new re-design of the website and excited to continue finding y’all fun local events & things to do with our newsletters.

We’re switching up our schedule and will be sending newsletters every Monday and Friday! Monday’s edition will be weekday events from Mon - Thurs while Friday’s edition will be all about weekend plans Fri - Sun!

We’ll also throw in a couple of our favorite local spotlights from foodie deals, businesses we love, event organizers, awesome venues, and anything local for y’all. (no gatekeeping here!)

Without further ado, let’s get into it with our first business spotlight!

The Bun B Trill Burger 🍔

Home of the smash burger that broke the internet.

If you haven’t been yet… what are you doing? Bun B’s Trill Burger is the burger spot in Houston right now. Thin, crispy-edged smash patties with gooey cheese, pickles, and their signature Trill sauce — it’s perfection. The line gets long, but trust me, it moves quick and is worth it.

My order? The OG Trill Burger with seasoned fries, and if you’re feeling bold, grab a double — you’ll thank me later. They also do a vegan burger that actually slaps.

Pro tip: Go on a weekday around 2–3 PM to skip the rush. And yes, you’re gonna want to take a picture for the ’gram before your first bite. This is a Houston food bucket list item.

Shining the spotlight on…

The Original Ninfa’s on Navigation 🌮 

The Tex-Mex legend that started it all.

If Houston had a Tex-Mex hall of fame, Ninfa’s would be the first inductee. Mama Ninfa is credited with inventing the modern fajita — and after one bite, you’ll understand why. Sizzling beef or chicken, fresh tortillas made in-house, and that addicting green sauce that could honestly be its own food group.

My move? Start with the queso flameado (cheesy, gooey perfection), then get the beef fajitas and a margarita. Bonus points if you snag a seat on the patio when the weather’s nice.

Pro tip: If you go on the weekend, be ready for a wait. But honestly… some things are worth waiting for. This place is Houston history on a plate.
