Hey Houston, It’s been awhile but we’re back! We spent the past couple months working on a new re-design of the website and excited to continue finding y’all fun local events & things to do with our newsletters.

We’re switching up our schedule and will be sending newsletters every Monday and Friday! Monday’s edition will be weekday events from Mon - Thurs while Friday’s edition will be all about weekend plans Fri - Sun!

We’ll also throw in a couple of our favorite local spotlights from foodie deals, businesses we love, event organizers, awesome venues, and anything local for y’all. (no gatekeeping here!)

Without further ado, let’s get into it with our first business spotlight!

Tacos El Bigotes

$1 Taco Tuesdays 🌮, $2 Magarita Mondays 🍹, 100/10 tacos 💯.

Every time I go here, I’m getting 10 tacos by myself. Their $1 trompo tacos are great. A bit controversial but — they put pineapples in them. Personally, I love it. They also have good birria tacos & quesadillas. Their Tomball location has a big TV screen great for watch parties. And their uniform? Dragon Ball Z. Can’t say enough good things about this place. $1 tacos in this economy?? Need I say more? Y’all have to check out this place next Tuesday.

Shining the spotlight on…

Patis & Toyo

Filipino restaurant serving rich, authentic flavors in Katy 🇵🇭

I absolutely love eating here. There’s not many Filipino restaurants in Houston so finding a new one is always a treat! They have a ton of authentic items on the menu from longsilog, adobo, sinigang, and lechon. Surprisingly, my favorite thing on the menu has to be the flan. It’s rich in flavor, creamy, and soft. Absolutely must get. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for Filipino cuisine in the Katy area!
